Join our mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs in need. There are many ways you can make a difference!
Volunteer With Us!
We are a completely volunteer-run organization and always welcome help caring for our dogs. Volunteers assist with walking, transporting, adoption events, and more. We also welcome those with experience in areas such as training, photography, website support, and other specialized skills.
Dog Walking
Our dog walking volunteers help provide exercise and enrichment for the dogs in our care.
Volunteers are needed Wednesday–Sunday between 3:00 PM and 6:30 PM.
Adoption Events
If you’re interested in volunteering at our adoption events, we’d love to have you! Volunteers help handle dogs, speak with potential adopters, and support the rescue for the duration of the event. We ask that event volunteers be available for at least one adoption event per month.
Volunteer Requirements
To volunteer with Mutts in Need, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes
- Wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting covered in dog hair (and the occasional slobber!)

You provide the love!
Foster a Dog, Save a Life
Fosters help us provide quality care to a greater number of dogs. Fosters are especially invaluable in helping us care for dogs who would not otherwise thrive in the kennel environment, such as those who are elderly, have special needs, or simply need a calmer place to call home.
Fosters can also give dogs one-on-one attention for house-training, socialization, and basic commands. In short, we love our fosters!
We provide the food, supplies, and medical care for our dogs in foster homes — you provide the love!

If you or someone you know recently lost a pet, donate old supplies to a rescue in the pet's honor

Promote spaying/neutering and rescuing over breeding to reduce the number of dogs without homes
